In its third year running, Lighthouse Festival South Africa revisits the picturesque Soetwater Nature Reserve near Kommetjie in Cape Town for another beachside blowout, after last year's razzle under the stars.
The international flagship Lighthouse Festival Croatia (May 2019) was recently sold out in just 90 minutes, it has been proven that the European LHF crew is doing it somehow right. Having hosted names like Cassy, Andhim Gui Boratto and HVOB, this year's LHFSA promises to be another top-notch musical experience for all with a more selected approach. And after two highly successful events, the team are pushing the envelope by extending the party before and after the main event.
Kicking off with A Taste of Lighthouse Festival in Johannesburg on January 19th at AND in collaboration with TOYTOY, Club Modular and Radisson Red (rooftop party) host two pre-parties on the 24th, followed by a LHF helping initiative including free BBQ (for township kids) & music industry panel at the music school in Langa/Bridges For Music school on the 25th.
After game-day on the 26th at Soetwater—which will feature headliner Kim Ann Foxman, Shimza, rising star Perel (DFA label New York), Amsterdam's local hero Tsepo from famous club Shelter and many more—revellers can return to the dungeon at Modular for the official after-party featuring a host of prime talent, including their own LHF soundsystem (Vince & Thome) and Ateq from Berlin.
With a variety of local and international DJ—including Atelier live, Bodycode, Dirty Doering, Floyd Lavine, Ivan Turanjanin and Pierre Johnson—LHF has found a way to bring a multi-faceted electronic music experience to Cape Town, injecting a solid dose of musical cross-pollination into the city’s nightlife scene.
