Jeff Mills is teaming up with NTS Radio for a new radio concept called The Outer Limits, presented in collaboration with and NASA Axis Records.

Broadcast over the course of 2018 though six hour-long episodes, each show will feature new and original music by Mills and guests from classical, jazz and electronic music. It will also "explore astrophysics and science fiction through abstract soundscapes and spoken word," according to the press release, with NASA providing scientific direction and imagery.

Each show will cover a different theme on outer space, except for the final episode, which will focus on music alone. However, each episode can be listened to as a stand-alone experience.

Mills said in part:

"The aim of this radio program is to deliver wild experiences, first and foremost. This is something that I believe each and every one of us needs more of. These episodes will be told in an uncompromising manner, constructed in ways conventional radio dares not explore. ‘The Outer Limits’ is informative, providing useful information, but in a never before seen format.”

The next episode of The Outer Limits airs this Wednesday, March 14th. You can listen back to the first episode on black holes on the NTS website.
