It has been reported that celebrated DJ and producer Slacker has passed away in his adopted home of Bangkok over the weekend. The British jock, real name Shem McCauley, was well respected in the scene for his progressive house releases in the late 90s and early 00s like Scared and A Million Dreams on Loaded Records and his own Jukebox In The Sky imprint. Though it was in 2010 after relocating from the UK to Thailand that McCauley reinvented himself as an ambient/downtempo producer, finally releasing his debut album, Start A New Life - fifteen years after the release of his first EP.

Details are scarce at the moment, with the actual circumstances surrounding his death still unkown. We will keep you informed on any updates.
