At age 14 I found a shop in a back room that was called "Vinyl Records" held by Pietro Latino.
Specializes in break-beat, ragga-jungle and happycore he had just opened that I had the scoop to discover a kind of impossible to listen to music in record stores supermarkets.
I was immediately absorbed by the fast drum beats out of season, which broke all we knew in the music of the time (dance, house, etc..) And it is in the same store that I bought my first vinyls to start mixing!
Lacking the proper equipment to get into my new adventure and knowing that it was difficult to find someone who makes you feel confident enough to let a novice mixer, it is a motivation that I went to the youth center for explain my dilemma facilitators because I knew they had a room for the boom's.
Access is restricted to members of the center, I got immediately signed up for training with the DJs of the moment.
However I soon realized that we did not have the same vision of the mix and it did at the time nothing to do with my concept of DJ.
The first time I started mixing with my Vinyls people thought I was an alien ... the break-beat really was not known to me and it had nothing to do with dance, music very vogue at that period. Being unable to mix what I liked, I had to find another solution.
My brother immediately liked the jungle, break beat as me and this is accompanied by a friend who was more turned on Gender house, trance that we participated in a technical course with a sound engineer of the RKC. Following this, after convincing the tenant of the shop vinyl Pietro Latino (which was not an easy task!) We had the agreement to hold true during a DJ set by it in the youth center.
The course finished, we have established ourselves as DJs official center.
We took a lot of fun at first but my brother and I wanted mix of break beat and jungle which did not please everyone.
After several months, we hosted an evening of graduation based on the theme of house and trance for my friend, my brother in the jungle and break-beat for myself, a wonderful evening while case for us;-D could we motivate for more!
With the help of a group of friends, we set up local parties in towns and villages of our region and then a subsequent request for an evening at a mini festival in our city Animails was accepted, imagine having a huge stage that was filled to its maximum, it was mission impossible to design for teenagers and yet nothing could stop us.
Being young we had to prove ourselves and have put all chances on our side by making the promotion with beautiful flyers.
On the day, what joy to see a full house and receive the congratulations of the festival announced that we be the party winning the most successful!
Incredible challenge successfully, we met as strangers who were there for DJs who were completely unknown, to whom we were able to discover our music and our tendency to mix different ways.
With my brother, very influenced by the English tendency, we mixions installed in the attic of our parents for hours to get better and make "tapes".
Years passed, I then learned to mix with my second brother and it was really good the boy!
We decided to get our crew "Judgement of the Lions' composed of Sky-D, and Smokinat myself Squiz. We were a team of Lions, ready to face the world of the night, with the rage to showcase our style of music.
A memorable evening was held at NED in Montreux by us with the participation of Twinhookers and Paulie Walnuts on a European tour.
To have followed an invitation by the crew in Lucerne Jungle Raiders Recordings and have participated in the festival "Konkrete Jungle" at Club Sedel. What an incredible pleasure to do what we love, music and more importantly your family!
Over time, we each took his way. But for my part, I stick to it, I keep the flame in me and wanted to go farther, higher, for me and for you!
