Soma  

Soma is a Glasgow-based techno and house label co-founded in 1991 by the electronic music duo Slam. Now in its 16th year, Soma has a reputation for consistent excellence in the record industry, continually releasing quality electronic music. Soma is regarded as one of the top UK independent record labels, and one of Scotland's best musical exports. To date they have released 225 singles and 60 albums from international acts such as Slam, Funk D'Void, Alex Smoke, My Robot Friend and Silicone Soul.

 

In the year just past, Soma has garnered critical acclaim for Vector Lovers' intensely cerebral new album 'Afterglow', and Slam's twisted techno masterwork 'Human Response'. Soma's latest release, Andrew Weatherall's brilliant first installment in the new 'Sci Fi Lo Fi' series, is an unforgettable mix spanning several decades, and journeying through genres from northwest grease, punk & rock n roll to sixties psychadelica, post-punk & hard rock.
