Whether it's tucked up in a tiny venue in east London or a huge north London theatre soundcrash always deliver unbelievable, unpredictable and extremely interesting lineups. With numerous parties held in The Hammersmith Apollo, The Camden Roundhouse, Cargo, Koko, Village Underground and Kings Cross Scala to name but a few Soundcrash certainly are one of the busiest promotions companies in our fine capital and never fail to amaze and surprise their loyal band of followers. With such variety spanning from the smooth jazz bar vibes of Alice russell to the punishing and weird beat feast of Clark and Daedelus Soundcrash always bring something new, beautiful and amazing.
With recent gigs from Portico Quartet, Luke Vibert, Squarepusher, Roots Manuva, Scrimshire and Amon Tobin (with his new and visually mind-blowing Isam 2.0 live show) Soundcrash are way ahead of the game and provide great music which stands out in a sea of mediocrity and stands above most people trying to even match what they do.
Soundcrash are also about special one-offs with the most recent example being the Stevie Wonder tribute concert where Macie Gray (a huge Stevie fan) performed the classic album ‘Talking Book’ from beginning to end at Koko in Camden to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the release date, October the 28th 1972. Said Macie of this special concert “This is not a tribute album or concert, it’s a love letter and a big thank you card on record and on stage.
And anyone who works hard deserves a holiday and who more deserving than Soundcrash!
