Just Jack was started in Bristol 6 years ago by innovative club promoters and DJs Rag Satguru, Dan Wild and Tom Rio and then in 2011 they were joined by Robin Shaw and Jethro Binns. It has since risen through the ranks of Bristol and international club nights to become one of the greatest and most respected nights on earth with an incredible podcast series, an agency supporting some of the best in local Bristol talent and guest spots at some of the best festival club brands in the world (Hideout, Eastern Electrics and Garden in Croatia to date, with plans to add more in the pipeline).
They say that they put on ‘Carnival style events that are designed to eat your head’ and they definitely deliver when it comes to this claim! At Just Jack the events aren’t just about the music (though this is one of their strongest points), they are about visuals, feeling and atmosphere, which they deliver in bucket loads. With extra effort put into things like visuals and performance artists they provide an unparalleled experience that most other nights just don’t even touch.
With artists such as Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, Seth Troxler, Booka Shade, Claude Vonstroke, Andrew Weatherall and Mr. G (just to name a few) having taken part in the Just Jack vibe over the years they truly are world leaders in incredible house and techno music.
Just Jack’s trophy cabinet of successes is full to the brim, having received awards from huge tastemakers such as Dj Mag, Mixmag and Resident Advisor. They have also worked in tandem with promoters and organisations such as Circo Loco, Cocoon, Bristol In:Motion, BacktoBasics, BuggedOut!, We Love..., Rebel Rave, Trouble Vision, Hideout Festival, Beatport and Futureboogie. The list of names enlisting that special Just Jack atmosphere, that bespoke setting and friendly, diverse crowds is goring by the minute.
With every party slightly different from the last Just Jack provide a very varied experience each time and will leave you feeling as if you have had one of the most special experiences this country has to offer. Along with all the national and international guest spots, you can still catch Just Jack every month at the Motion Skatepark in Bristol.
