SUBURB  

Based in Neumuenster near Hamburg, Suburb is a young duo of house music producers with deep and diverse roots in the European scene. Christoph Vogel is a native of his hometown and has been there from the start producing and releasing drum and bass tunes since 2001, including an album last year on the German scene-leading d’n’b label Basswerk. Originally hailing from Romania but a German resident since age 2, Levente Pavelka is the younger of the two and has been DJing since 2005 and producing since 2008 when they formed the Suburb project. After being introduced through Till von Sein, they discovered a mutual appreciation for deep and true music and decided to apply this interest and energy towards the production of organic house and find their own sound in the crowded German electronic scene. If being booked by Sven Vaeth to play live at the Cocoon Club in Frankfurt says something about talent, it’s clear that they’ve turned a few of the right heads already, and with several releases scheduled for 2011 including their debut on THEMA, Suburb is confident of their individuality and clearly on the path to greater renown.
