STA (MARINE PARADE) Bio:

When Sta's first bootlegs started getting passed around in early 2007, reactions generally went along the lines of "Who the hell is this guy living in the middle of nowhere, pumping out electro jams?" But for those who knew him it didn't come as much of a surprise. Sta had already garnered a reputation for throwing sex and drug fueled parties in the otherwise reserved college town of Kingston, Ontario, Canada. His weekly radio show kept local house fans grooving and club residencies had him rocking crowds daily. 

His productions started organically, beginning with DJ edits and blends before eventually progressing to full-out remixes and original tracks. By the time his bootleg remix of Timbaland's "Give it to me" dropped, Sta was already working his synths like a pro. Then came the internet buzz. Starting with a few small file-trading sites, his tracks eventually made their way onto all the big dance blogs and into the hands of DJs worldwide. Internet hype turned to real world hype as Sta connected with like-minded DJs and producers all over, including Adam Freeland who took a liking to his style of heavy beats and stuttering, cut up vocals. 

As remix requests poured in, Sta took his show on the road and started rocking parties from Montreal to LA. And the production quality didn't let up either, with him turning in dance floor filling remixes for the likes of The Crystal Method, Tommy Trash, and Hail Social. Now, Sta looks poised for success. He has moved to Toronto and his debut single "In Living Colour" has just dropped on Marine Parade records to rave reviews and chartings worldwide.
