DJ PROFILE
Milan born Silvio started his DJ career in Italy where through competitions he quickly became renowned within the club scene.
Already a resident of the northern capital’s two major clubs by the age of 16 he soon progressed into creating his own nights in collaboration with Zulu Nation’s Rodney Harris (Public Enemy), graffiti artists (Phase 2 - Vulcan) and the local DMC DJs.
Moving to London to combine his Dj skills with music production, he worked alongside luminaries Nellee Hooper, Cameron McVey and James Lavelle as well as hosting early pirate radio stations such as Rhythm FM and Freak FM.
Originally, being the man behind the legendary Monday nights @ Toast, Back in the Day @ Café the Paris and Dekefex in St. Matthew’s Church (with L-Fudge & Mos Def/Ruckus) Silvio made his name as one of London’s finest Hip Hop DJs, but that was then…
Silvio says “At that time Hip Hop was edgy and had this underground energy that worked very well on the dancefloor… but as things gradually changed in the music scene I felt the need to explore other musical avenues.
To me It was a natural progression and House music, an ‘old flame’ of mine, had re-gained all the excitement that Hip Hop lost along the way”.
Continuing to rock the dancefloors of some of the world’s top international nightclubs with his individual blend encompassing Progressive Deep House to electronic Dub and Underground Classics, Sivio’s versatility knows few bounds.
Regularly to be found ‘digging in the crates’ chasing the thrill of bringing you that gem that you’ve yet to hear.
