Silver City are Fernando Pulichino and Julian Sanza. Started playing music together in 1999 in a electronic music collective called Ciudad Feliz, in Mar del Plata, Argentina.
After few releases on seminal house music labels like Silver Network and Stickman, moved to London in 2002, sent a demo to UK Label 2020 Vision and Silver City was born!
Their two first records "1969" and "Elastic" showcased their superb, bass heavy deep and driving sound over the six tracks. Then came "Say Hi" and "Blah Blah Blah" where the guys productions evolved, even adding their own vocals.
In 2004 they moved to Leeds, UK to integrate 2020 Soundsystem, flagship live project of the label together with Ralph Lawson and Danny "Dubble D" Ward.
The success of 2020 Soundsystem and the busy schedule of touring still leaves Julian and Fernando time to experiment and record at their new home studio, in July 2005 their debut album "Silver City" went out, with remixes from Ewan Pearson, Lindtsrom, Spirit Catcher, Phonogenic and others... The album comprised of an eclectic set of songs and instrumentals with a clear influence of the "Manchester" sound, city where it was mixed and co-produced by legendary engineer Danny Evans (Elbow).
Since then, 2 albums and extensive touring around the globe with 2020 Soundsystem, have keeped Julian and Fernando very busy but still they make time to produce some of their finest music yet like the releases on Scottish label Deep Freeze, which display more complexity in the productions often featuring strong themes and live instrumentations...
As well as being studio guys, Silver City have always stood out by the quality of their DJ sets and their ability to play their productions live, featuring Fernando on bass guitar and fx, and Julian on synthesizers and laptop, they have headlined clubs like D-Edge, Vegas (Sao Paolo) Fabric, Back to Basics, Rhythm Factory (London), Dirty Dancing (Brussels), Likwid (Bahrein, UAE), Lokita (Palma), Discopunx (Sidney AU), Bodytonic (Dublin), Stiff Cat (Belfast) just to name a few.
