Shamus is one of the few Australian DJ’s who can honestly claim to have taken the Australian club scene by storm. With his own unique brand of deep driving electro house he continuously pushes the barriers, taking clubbers to new heights on the dancefloor. Since he began spinning Shamus has held down residencies at some of Australia’s biggest weekly club nights including Kink at The Arthouse, Sounds On Sunday at The Greenwood Hotel, Sublime at Home, Ear Candy and After Hours at YU, and Hussle Nights at Zen.
Along the way Shamus has had the honour to play alongside Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Fatboy Slim, Sandy Rivera, Felix Da Housecat, Bob Sinclar, Jacques Le Cont, Dimitri From Paris, David Guetta, Kaskade, Steve Angello, Sebastian Leger, Dj T, Derrick Carter, Tocadisco, Deadmau5,Harry Choo Choo Romero, M.A.N.D.Y, Sharam Jay, Ashley Beedle, Steve “Silk” Hurley, Tiefschwarz, Joey Negro, DJ Falcon, ATFC, Dynamo Productions, Stacey Pullen, Junior Sanchez, Satoshi Tomiie, Kenny Dope, Albert Cabrera, Nick Warren, Hed Kandi’s Mark Doyle, Duane Harden, The Freestylers and Jamiroquai on Foxtel’s Channel V.
Production wise, Shamus has released two mix cd’s – “Alfresco Soiree” & “Chalet Soiree” with Dj’s Tim McGee and Declan Lee respectively on Ministry Of Sound’s Australian based label, Hussle Recordings and has future compilations in the pipeline. His first remix “Behind” of French house group LAQUER was released locally on Audio Riot records last year & his latest track “LIFTOFF” has been signed to breakout UK house label CR2 and will be released later this year.
As far as personal accolades go, Shamus is one of the few dj's to have beenincluded in all five Technics InTheMix DJ Top 50 Polls – peaking at number 13. He was also one of only four NSW state finalists in the 2002 and 2003 Dance Music Award for People’s Choice Dj NSW. If you want your party rocked to the foundations, then Shamus is your man.
