SethTroxler has become one of house music's most integral forces in modern dance music. Hailing from Detroit, USA, the DJ and producer has forged himself a reputation as one of the mos sought after Djs, producers and record label heads in the entire dance music scene.
The Visionquest visionary takes inspiration from parallel universes and ancient tribal imagery, adding a uniquely eerie, at times grooving take on contemporary deep house music. Starting his career at the impressionable age of 16, Seth began spinning techno cuts at local parties such as The Works , gaining respect for his respect to the genre and attempt to create dynamic and ground breaking fusions in sound (at the same time the young Seth held a job at Melodies and Memories record store). Since these humble beginnings, Seth has moved to London after spending substantial time in Ibiza - although he's not often there though, consistently playing for the biggest festivals, clubs and brands on the planet. Fabric London, Panorama Bar, Fabric, Panorama Bar, Watergate, Womb, Tenax, Robert Johnson, The Rex, Fuse, Avalon, The End Up, The Detroit Electronic Music Festival, Mutek and Ultra Music Festival all regularly welcome Seth into their fold, alongside his Visionquest cohorts Lee Curtiss, Ryan Crosson and Shaun Reeves.
As a solo entity, Seth's remixes and productions have reared their heads in all corners of house music. Racking up the likes of Circus Company, Items and Thing, Raum, Cocoon, Crosstown Rebels, Esperanza, leftroom and more, he's also collaborated and made music together pith Matthew Dear, Tiefschwarz, Deetron, Masemenos, dOP and Art Department. As part of the Visionquest quartet, he's been partly responsible for releasing definitive and ground breaking cuts on the mighty Visionquest Recordings label.
Recently, Seth Troxler has been voted Resident Advisor's Top DJ of 2012 (after seeing him being beaten by dominant masters Richie Hawtin and Ricardo Villalobos in 2010. 2013 also sees himself and Visionquest undertake Thirteen, a brand new concept for their famed four man Dj sets that sees them mix live aesthetics and club based dancefloor music together. It's also the very first time the quartet are undertaking a tour of the globe. From evidence of this chap's trajectory so far, it’s bound to be another busy year and beyond for this personable and prolific producer.
