Riley Reinhold  

Riley Reinhold aka Triple R is a man with many faces. Starting as a DJ in 1984 he began to write for the Spex, then later for Frontpage magazine and founded the De:Bug magazine together with Sascha Kösch and others. He has also worked for the Goethe Institution lecturing and djing in South America.

 

Riley plays worldwide and has built up a solid reputation for himself as a DJ who combines different styles of techno and who nowadays also represents his labels Traum, Trapez and MBF in his sets. He is famous for creating an explosive cocktails out of music which he puts together out of test pressings and unreleased tracks.

 

Riley has written several tunes together with Steve Barnes aka Cosmic Sandwich on Trapez and MBF/ MBF LTD and has started to produce on his own for the last 3 years. His first solo EP “Lights In My Eyes” (MBF LTD 12013), the follow up with remixes by Dominik Eulberg and Patrice Bäumel, his "Lull" EP and his "Sunset Sound" 12"  were released 2007/ 2008.

In June 2008 Riley Reinhold kicked of his MBF LTD 12018 "Balsamic Times" record as well as his & Dominik Eulberg´s remix of Jesse Somfay´s track "The days of my youth ended with broken bottles" on the Traum 100 compilation. At the moment Steve Barnes and Riley are preparing new tracks to be released end of 2009.

 

In 1998 he and his wife Jacqueline Reinhold founded their first label Traum. The other labels of the label family Trapez, Trapez ltd, MBF, MBF LTD and Paintwork soon followed. Riley's work is predominantly the one of an A&R, discovering such musicians as Akufen, Thomas Brinkmann and  Dominik Eulberg, among many other talents we cannot name. He is responsible for now 100 releases each on Trapez and Traum.
