Prince Nod is a broadcast radio producer, announcer, DJ and music journalist based in Sydney, Australia. He is currently the Sydney editor of Pulse Radio, and also produces future garage and hip hop as Pilot Sounds.
Prince Nod is credited with bringing dubstep, future beats and tropical bass music to the night clubs and airwaves of Australia; combining a global avant garde ethos with critical DJ selections and stalwart support of Australian musical innovators.
In 2007 he began freelancing for ABC Radio National and other radio outlets following a decade in community radio, as well as a degree in Sound Design and a Master of Multimedia.
As co-producer on the radio show, Forcefed Fistfuls on 4ZzZ 102.1 FM, Prince Nod pioneered nascent music trends in the Australian broadcast industry.
He was the first broadcaster to play dubstep on the ABC, and present the first wave of dubstep arriving in Australia, including the BBC Radio 1 star Mary Anne Hobbs and recent Parklife act, Joker.
Whilst seeking out exclusive interviews and mixes with global names like Crookers, or Peanut Butter Wolf; Prince Nod is an avid supporter of local Australian artists and the global underground.
