And it hurts twice as bad as it should. The producer/dj from electronic soul bandgusgus from Reykjavik has been there, and is about to come here. With an amazing roster of the coolest, the hottest, the dirtiest clubs all around the world the President is sure to direct everyone to the dancefloor with his compacted fusion of techno, house and whatever comes into that rotting mind when connected to his native Gaybon superpowers. The president is never to busy to make love, and his love is music. Soft leather gloves and blackened matt hand-grenades, do you like fisting? He does. A fist full of records. Number one records.

President Bongo was born in the outskirts of Reykjavik, Iceland in 1971. From a small fishermans village called Hafnarfjordur the youngster was brought up by jazz and "turn that fuckin' music off" attitude. After quitting pianolessons at 9 years old (to protest the firing of his teacher) the dream about becoming a musician was almost killed instantly. But it was his stubborn head and positive energy that guided the young President through various obstacles and the love for music surfaced in another form. Bassplaying was the starting point then producing electronic music became a reality. Biggi Veira, his musical partner and friend encouraged the President and did his job very well. They have been active for 14 years. In the beginning the GusGus adventure was mainly co-producing music with Veiran, photographing and filming music videos that kept Bongo busy, but in 2000 with the highly acclaimed "Attention" the songwriting and singing was a reality
After staying and studying photography for almost 6 years in Paris (1989 - 1995) the President accidentally fell into the GusGus world. A group that has 5 albums under it's belt with the 6th one in the making. As an indipendant producer President Bongo has several irons in the fire but the only one released up to date is a 4 piece popband from Stockholm with Petter Winnberg as singer/songwriter. Amazing collaboration of talents in Iceland and Sweden brought together and harmonized by the President. Gluteus Maximus, his latest project, along with Jack Schidt, is a dj/producer duo. A long due collaboration in full motion.
As a dj President Bongo started out exploring various styles of music but was soon won over by the amazing world of techno music through fellow GusGus members Buckmaster De La Cruz and Biggi Veira. His love for AC/DC and Kraftwerk set the direction; Detroit, Chicago and the analog universe.
Together President Bongo, Jack Schidt and Sexy Lazer mastermind the dark machinations of Reykjavik based event company Jon Jonsson, promoting club nights (Booka Shade, Carl Cox, Trentemoller, GusGus, Airwaves Festival etc) and releasing online [in collaboration with Great Stuff Manage
