As our modern world dives deeper into recession, conspiracies and war and as the music industry struggles against file-sharing and corporate take-overs, our artists need to take a stand. Unashamedly Payme isn’t spending night and day in the studio making music to hopefully get gigs or to impress people with flattering DJ reactions, Payme is out to get paid for doing what he does best. “House Music owes me money” and “F**k you pay me” are just two quotations you will hear him spit down the phone to label bosses kindly asking to licence his productions. Only the tough survive, and this attitude along with outstanding studio skills has impressed Jesse Rose so much he signed him exclusively to the Made To Play label. “Made To Play is a label which constantly leads the way with quality ground-breaking music so when Jesse agreed to pay me, I agreed to sign!”
Having recently remixed Riva Starr, Round Table Knights and The Peth with his direct Tech-House sound, Payme has also collaborated with Jan Driver, Idiotproof and Renaissance Man for the upcoming 5 years of Made To Play compilation.
Jacking Chicago beats and sub-bass from Kingston town colour his productions. Not the usual mash-up of Hip-House, Acid and Nu-Rave but a distinct sound one described as a boxing match between Fast Eddie and the Crookers with Jesse Rose as the ref. Forthcoming exclusive DJ performances are scheduled at Panoramabar in Berlin and on the Made To Play world tour later this year.
