Nina Kraviz’s phenomenal rise to stardom made her one of the most hotly tipped acts for the future, a label she has backed up with ever evolving talent, stellar DJ sets and game changing production. She has quickly become one of the most sought after and in demand DJs and the new queen of house.
Nina grew up in the Siberian city of Irkutsk before moving to Moscow, where she quickly became involved in the local house and techno scenes. She began producing in 2008 and making her name as a DJ in Moscow. She took over running Friday nights at one of Russia’s biggest clubs, Propaganda, for two years. In 2009 she debuted her very first release ‘Voices’ in 2009 on the Underground Quality Imprint. Her follow up ‘First Time EP’ had great support from top name DJs around the world and was awarded 4.5 out of 5 by Resident Advisor. By the end of 2010 Nina had been booked for and played the world’s biggest clubs including Fabric and Panorama Bar, where her improvisation and ease on the decks delivered memorable, original and technically inspiring sets.
Her personal and forward-thinking productions that blended house, techno and acid and were as ready for the underground as they were for radio. Nina released her self titled debut album in 2012 , which received high praise from press around the world as well as a 4 out of 5 rating on Resident Advisor.
