Principle resident at Manchester’s El Diablo’s Social Club since 2003, Neil Diablo become an in demand DJ playing regularly around the UK and Europe and sometimes further a field.
Neil is a regular on the festival scene and plays regularly at Glastonbury, Big Chill, Glade and The Garden Festival in Croatia.
He has played alongside some of the disco scenes finest guests which he and his EDSC have brought to the rainy city, including Greg Wilson, Todd Terje, Prins Thomas, Rub n Tug, Maurice Fulton, Daniel Wang, Hercules’s and Love Affair, Danny Krivit, Crazy P, Toby Tobias and Steve Kotey…..the list goes on.
He is also an ex-staffer at Manchester’s respected Piccadilly Records shop and can be found behind the counter at weekends ‘pulling tunes’ for punters, or more likely, for himself. His DJ tastes also feed into what stock Piccadilly take, pointing buyers in the direction of new-to-vinyl hidden gems that he’s been spinning off promo for an eternity.
The natural progression has been for Neil to take his affinity for the dancefloor and ear for sounds and apply them to original productions, remixes and edits and also a series of edit labels; To Rack & Ruin and Midnight Chopper.
Neil has done remixes for the likes of Badly Drawn Boy and Bionics on Paper Recordings, and he released his first solo outgoing ‘The Feeling’ on Cosmic Boogie’s ‘Boogie Originals’ imprint.
He continues to put out top releases on Rack & Ruin and other imprints, and has been getting DJ support from Eric Duncan, Horse Meat Disco, Dicky Trisco & Crazy P to name a few.
