Megastrom - based in Berlin these three guys can't stop to focus on the real necessary things in life: producing banging tracks, playing live, trying to be as mega as possible.
3 guys – matching like puzzle pieces. Dan Dollar is kind of a booster, forcing the weird architect Jan Yen to overwork the tracks again and again meanwhile Sven Zloty is looking for food. Each having a past as organiser, DJ or audio engineer/producer, the three met in 2009 and started a new project together and renamed from ‘Strom’ to ‘Megastrom’ soon. They discovered electro music as their preference and evolved into something entirely: electro rock rave disco dancefloor madness.
Using a lot of analogue equipment like Moog Voyager, Korg MS-20, Roland SH-101, Roland Juno-106 and two lovely Roland 100m modular systems they develop tracks containing a whole bunch of punching sounds – pure analogue trust.
After winning Sony's remix contest for Kylie Minogue’s 'Breathe', releases on labels like Ministry of Sound, Audiolith and Exx Records and producing a whole lot of remixes (for: Egotronic, Mikroboy, Fuck Art Let's Dance, Audiolord,...) the time has come for Megastrom to show what they've learned. In 2011 the collaboration between Overcooked Records and Megastrom was confirmed, both are looking forward to cook a giant mega soup that will be served by delivery services worldwide.
