BIOGRAPHY
Mark Stent hails from the city of gold, Johannesburg. His love of house music led him on a pilgrimage to blend and mix over 10 years ago. His early breaks started at hotspots such as Azzuri Lounge, Flyhouse, Nexus, Peppermint Jam and South Africa’s biggest dance event, H20.
Currently he residents at Johannesburg’s premier house club: Sutra (where he has gained the nickname ‘World’s strongest DJ’!), Chilli Lounge, Swanky@Taboo, as well as the infamous outdoor megaparties: H20.
He guests regularly all over the country at clubs such as The Bang Bang Club, Truth, Tempos, Aruba, Raffles, Roxys, Mynt, Catwalk, Co.Funk, Ruby blue, Club Rain, Stones, Risque and the Mr White Parties. He is also a regular guest on Radio 5fm, playing mixes for DJ Freshes ‘Ultimix @ 6″.
He has played alongside international greats such as Fatboy Slim, Chris Lake, The Hoxton Whores, Jason Hodges, Sexual Chocolate and the Littlemen.
Internationally Mark has guested at clubs such as Coccoon Lounge and Club Z in Bahrain and event such as the F1 Grand Prix parties in Bahrain.
He started experimenting with production during his hiatus from the decks around 4 years ago and it was during this time that he fell in love with the deep basslines that are jacking house. He has since release tracks on More Music and Casual Kickback records. He owns Flexual Records.
