Likewise DJs  

Neither of them grew up in musical homes and they weren’t schooled in classical music from a young age. There were no early age prohibitions of listening to electronic music by their parents, which spurred a desire to secretly collect 12" vinyl and becoming DJs later in life.

Likewise DJs haven’t earned their stripes by mixing on vinyl and never really understood the big deal about analogue versus digital formats, mainly because they can’t hear the difference. They aren’t particularly inspired by the native folk music from their home country (Sweden) and don’t really like to mix strange sounding phrases in Swedish that nobody understands or, weird sounding traditional instruments like accordion or flute into their DJ sets.

Likewise DJs mainly like to mix various strings of upbeat digital binary code to create new exciting strings of binary code - which becomes house music. Favourite scenario to do so: predominantly non-conventional settings, ideally outdoor and to people who want to dance - a lot - right then and there.

Likewise DJs are residents at the Tepee Life village parties, held at a selection of music festivals around Australia and New Zealand. They have supported several international acts at various Sydney venues, including Rowan Blades, Aril Brikha, Layo & Bushwacka and Kid Kenobi. They have also been fortunate enough to be invited to fiddle with CDJs at festivals such as Subsonic Music Festival, Peats Ridge, Secret Garden, Playground Weekender and Splendour in the Grass. Someone even liked Likewise DJs so much that they booked them for a few gigs at the famous Nammos Beach Club in Bali.
