Kasper Bjorke  

Producer, A&R and DJ - Kasper Bjørke is after a decade in music one of the most established, renowned and versatile contributors on the Danish music scene.

Kasper has received Danish Music Awards (Grammy) for both Best Producer and Best Dance Release, as well as the the Danish national radio P3 Guld Award for Hit of the Year – with the Filur project – plus numerous Danish DJ Awards, throughout his career.

As a remixer Kasper has pretty much covered the whole spectrum: From The Ting Tings, Trentemøller and WhoMadeWho to FM Belfast, Oh Land and Under Byen – and huge acts like Shakira and Brandy.

Kasper is also A&R at the succesful, Danish indie label Fake Diamond Records, and has discovered acts like Oh Land, who is now signed on to worldwide fame on Epic Records. Kaspers talent for scouting some of the best new artists has positioned Fake Diamond as one of the leading indie labels in Denmark with a strong, international distribution setup.

Kaspers own 2nd solo album “Standing On Top of Utopia” was released in February 2010 on German label Hfn Music and it instantly became a darling with the international press. Dazed & Confused, Nylon Magazine, Time Out, Dj Mag, etc. as well as numerous blogs like Big Stereo and Dummy were full of praises. Allmusic.com called it “perhaps the strongest full-length electronic release from Denmark since Trentemøller’s The Last Resort” and GAFFA, Denmarks biggest music magazine nominated it as Best Electronic Release in 2010.

The singles got support by everyone from Laurent Garnier to Tim Sweeney and remixers contributing to the albums singles included Serge Santiago, WhoMadeWho, Prins Thomas, Nicolas Jaar, Lopazz & Zarook, Kenton Slash Demon and Zombie Disco Squad.

Kaspers DJ career has been long and busy and his sets are diverse and showcases his love for disco, techno and old school house. He has played at some of the best venues in the world – from Sao Paolo and Tokyo to New York, Berlin and Reykjavik .

Through the years Kasper has released his music on labels like Mirau, Compost, Plant, V2 and Sony Music and continue to expand his discography.

In 2011 Kasper will mainly be working on his 3rd solo album, new Filur plus Bjørke & Barfod releases as well as scouting and producing new, exciting projects.
