Since first entering the fray with his newly conceived Chemistry brand back in that acid-washed summer of '08, Sydney's Jordan Deck has quickly established himself as a highly-regarded figure in the city's club scene. Beginning as a local affair that found an audience by combining an intimate vibe with quality underground beats, Chemistry has evolved into a far more dynamic and robust beast over the past few years, with Jordan hosting acts that align with his own sonic persuasion, such as Peace Division's Clive Henry and Mood Music's Dave DK.
Jordan's standing as a DJ has also grown in symbiosis with his brand, and he is widely respected as a purveyor of deep grooves across the house and techno spectrums, having spun at Spice, Subsonic Music Festival, Earthdance and Plantation to go with interstate jaunts in Melbourne and Brisbane. For those who want something of a list, Jordan has spun alongside a host of revered international talent, namely Michael Mayer, Gregor Tresher, Shaun Reeves, Diatribe, Superpitcher and Tobias Thomas.
At this stage, one could attempt to describe the minutia of Jordan's DJ sound, but as Elvis Costello once commented, "writing about music is like dancing about architecture", so it's better - and no doubt more satisfying - to seek out a mix of his via his Soundcloud page or see him do his thing in person through the raw, sweaty, zoo-like haze of the nightclub enviroment!
