The artist Hunee isn’t the usual DJ, who just plays records - He is serious about what he’s doin, cause he knows that one night, one crowd and one vibe are unique and special. He never plays the same set, every night he squeezes out a new selection - from scratch and with enthusiasm, simply following the vibe of the moment. He comes from a hiphop background, where he trained his adventurous spontaneity, but nowadays he prefers to start his journey somewhere between disco and house music, and to arrive at some unknown balearic island or sweaty new york early morning club environment. He likes unexpected mixes and he likes to surprise himself and the dancers - no trained mixes, no safety...it's just about music, stories, feeling and timing.
Hunee also loves to travel, this has taken him to places like Paris (Fleche d’Or, Favela Club), New York (Galaxie), Detroit (The Eagle), Tokyo, Copenhagen (Club Vega), Zürich (Zukunft), Basel (Paradies), Oslo (Bla), Vilnius (Woo Club), Warsaw (ClubCollab), Szczecin (City Hall), Freiburg (Tag Eins), Hamburg (Goldener Pudel). Along with this busy schedule he also managed to hold down monthly residencies between 2006 and 2008 at the Tape Club (The Loveroom), Club103, Monarch (Let it grow) and Cookies. During this time Hunee shared stage with artists like Kerri Chandler, Mark Seven, Rahaan, Finn Johannsen, Patrice Scott, Lexx, Quarion, Daniel Wang, Gerd Janson, Speculator, Beppe Loda, Lovefingers, DJ Spun, Force of Nature, Rune Lindbaek, Jazzanova, Lasermagnetic, DJ Vadim, Bugz in the Attic, Mocky, Daniel Haaksman, Seiji, Dave no.1 (Chromeo)….
