HOLOSOUND  

Alex Fish, until only recently, has been known to fans as “Holosound” the DJ/Production moniker he started working under in 2004. As Holosound, Alex launched CITRIC Recordings a label and long running monthly underground party in New York City that saw spin off branded events in Toronto and Tokyo in 2008. As a DJ, Alex has had the opportunity to travel extensively to play his signature blend of house music to fans around the world. By combining subtle melodic themes with subversively sexual and, at times haunting vocal elements, Alex has established a sound that is consistent and yet broad enough to always ensure some aural surprises. His DJ sets and mixes have seen an increasingly prevalent nod to the energetic funk found in freestyle and disco and significantly expanded the pool from which he draws musical inspiration.

The last four years have seen him travel to Japan, Thailand, Finland, Estonia, Tunisia, France, UK, Canada, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador and Puerto Rico. Stateside, Alex has played in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, Miami, Wasington DC, and Boston. In New York where he lives, he’s a resident DJ for both Autobrennt and BeSpoke has had the opportunity to play at every major electronic music venue in the city with Cielo, Le Bain, Pacha, D36 and Work in Progress among the notable standouts.

As a producer, he’s recently had the pleasure of remixing Maxxi Soundsystem and Michael and Mattis for Nurvous Records under his collaboration with Mike Fisher as “Pets for Less.” 2012 has also seen Alex’s first vinyl signing of something he co-produced with Stockholm legend Dana Bergquist. The record “Stoned Bruv” is slated for release on upstart Barcelonen imprint “IUsedToSleepAtNight.”

When he’s not DJing or making records Alex serves as Head of Development for the US for dance music’s fastest growing online music portal, www.PulseRadio.net Championing the underground and helping to educate the masses through the site, he’s constantly interacting with the industry’s biggest names and working hard to spread awareness of the beauty that lies within the music that is his life.
