Hey Today! – Shortbiography

Hey Today! A fresh new producer project consisting of two heads who proof again that their creative skills are a result of turntableism and music loving.

Living in Hamburg the beautiful ‘hanse city’ and ‘sound metropolis’ they describe their main influence in producing with musically variety, multi cultural and emotionality.

The electronic music scene is for ‘Hey Today!’ a.k.a. ‘Raik Fargo’ and ‘Dy!’ definitely no new territory.

As Dj’s and live performer they got some years of club and stage experience.

Raik Fargo for example with his nearly 24 years already got an astounding history:

With 17 years he had his first club residency. A little bit later a residency again for the ‘IN-Party line’ ‘Strictly Players Club’. He did diverse mastering and editing projects for music and Dj mates - Release of his very popular mix CD Stereo ‘ la Carte’ which reflects his global rocking sound perfectly. His DJ style provide him support gigs for Mouse T. , Spiller , Boris Dlugosch , Digitalism , John Tejada , Zoot Woman , Ewan Pearson and Tiefschwarz to name just a few.

Mr. Dy! 26 years old who also passed numerous crusades through the clubs as a live act or Dj

He performed his ingenious sound constructions in local clubs and radio shows.

As a visionary with philosophical background he’s always in search for the pure essence of electronic music.

Sounds of all genres are needed to be researched and chopped until just the freaky and cool ones are left.

This philosophy also forms their trademark sound called ‘E-Rockabilly’.

Data anarchist and frequency junky ‘Dy!’ meets chef rocker ‘Raik Fargo’ so ‘Hey Today!’ follow their mood and just do what they want to.

Independent from trends and categorising they tell their motto:

Take a pot and throw house, freaky 80’s, dirty disco, electro, acid, experimental, funk and rock into it.

Then spice it with abstract beat dynamics and complete it with a splash of soul - you never know what you get.
