The beginning of Chris Gruber and Nils Nuernberg musical liaison started off in Hamburgs so called “Schanzenviertel” in fashion shop. But only after a short period of time it was obvious that work was not the only thing that connected the duo – it was the passion for Housemusic! The both started producing common and timeless music for the dancefloors.
Their first production – “Floating Clouds” on the Diynamic Sampler “Four Seasons” hit the spot right away.Printmedia as well as DJs and Producers such as Jamie Jones and Adultnapper characterised the track as one of the best productions in 2008. Reason enough for Chris and Nils to put out another track on Matthias Tanzmann’s Lorna Labels. Almost at the same time the duo’s first remix was released on Christian Hausmann’s Fresh Fish label.
This year’s summer turned out to be the most successful time for the yound producers delivering the club-anthem “Laugh Lines” on Nick Curly’s 8Bit label and releasing the “C’mon Dance EP" on Wordandsound’s very own label WasNotWas. The German based Housemusic pioneer Steve was so enthusiastic about the duo that he decided to have a remix done by them for his Label Dessous Recordings.Furthermore, releases on Nick Curly’s 8Bit label and on the swiss label Drumpoet Community are ready to be launched. This dynamic duo will get a lot of attention during the next years.
