Gavin Herlihy’s discography reads like a Connect the Dots game for some of underground house and techno’s most important labels. Two EPs on Cadenza, a release on Cocoon and tracks and remixes for Get Physical, Buzzin Fly, Leftroom, Supernature and Kindisch are just some of the milestones in his career as a producer so far.
Next up from Gavin is a three track EP on Cocoon. 'Stand For Something' is an evolution of his unique flavour of house and will be released in October. Remixes for Monique Musique, Chillin, Dogmatik and Lower East are also due to hit shops throughout Autumn and his eighth artist EP is due on Barraca in November.
Now living in Leeds, the Irish born, one time Londoner and recent Berliner is an established player on the global DJ circuit. In the last twelve months he’s played Cadenza parties at Pacha Ibiza, Miami WMC, Acquaboulevard in Paris and Raum Barcelona. A two year stint cutting his teeth as a producer in Berlin notched up gigs at the Panorama Bar, Watergate, Bar 25 and more. And he's added influential clubs like Privilege Ibiza (Warung/Barraca party), Magazini Generale (Milan) or Barraca (Valencia) to his tour diary along the way.
His tracks have consistently earned praise from tastemakers like Luciano, Josh Wink or Pete Tong and key media sources such as Mixmag, IDJ, DJ Mag and Germany's Groove Magazine and De:Bug to name a few.
It all seems like a long way from his acclaimed debut ‘Machine Ate My Homework’ in 2006, now generally considered to be a classic of the 2000s. 'Machine' opened the door for Gavin's broad and constantly evolving sound and it's continuing to surprise us with ever track.
