Erick Morillo is a dance music legend. Raised in Colombia and later New Jersey, Morrilo was raised on latin, reggae and hip hop, beginning DJing at the age of 11. He is now one of the most famous and recognisable DJs in the world, a platinum selling artist, and was the producer behind Reel 2 Real’s phenomenal craze ‘I Like To Move It’, as well as countless dance floor classics including ‘Reach’, ‘Believe’, ‘Do What You Want’ and ‘I Feel Love’. Morrilo has produced under many pseudonyms including Ministers De La Funk, The Dronez and Li’l Mo Ying Yang, and remixed the likes of Whitney Houston and Basement Jazz.
He founded Subliminal Records house music institution with production partners Harry Romero and Jose Nunez.. Throughout his illustrious career, Erick Morillo has recorded with the likes of Puff Daddy, Boy George, Dizzee Rascal, Busta Rhymes, Wyclef Jean and Sean Paul.
For more than a decade Erick Morillo has been one of the most in demand DJs in the business, known to have played 30 shows in one month. His weekly New York ‘Sessions’ parties became phenomenal and now feature at Miami’s Winter Music Conference. He is one of the few Americans to hold a residency at London’s Ministry Of Sound and is a Pacha New York resident as well as a weekly Pacha Ibiza resident with his Subliminal Sessions parties.
