With the ability to rock the decks empowering the dance floor with her female energy, in the past three years Elsa Hill has played all around the west coast of the United States, including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Nevada and Portland. Since December of 2005, she has been featured on Armin van Buuren’s weekly radio show, A State of Trance countless times. As well as receiving massive support on DI.FM for her guest mixes.

Originally born in San Francisco, Elsa moved to Portland after the big earthquake of 1989. As a teenager she spent much of her time learning how to read music, play piano and sing in her studies. After visiting a club in Portland she was captivated by what the dj was doing. Intrigued, she set out to buy her own equipment and get started.

Six months later in 2003, her first performance was in the middle of the Nevada desert at an event called, 'Burning Man.' With her powerful sets and high energy, she unites the crowd demonstrating how a female DJ knows how to shake the floor. Soon after in 2004, she performed in Seattle, Washington opening for Rabbit in the Moon, Jon the Dentist and DJ Micro. Recently her sets in Los Angeles and San Francisco have given her the opportunity to share the decks with DJ Irene.

With audiences only begging for more and having been booked all over the west coast as a DJ, it was only natural Elsa would be drawn to composing music as a classically trained musician. Teaming up with Robert Nickson in 2005, Elsa's first release, 'Close Your Eyes' came out in April of 2006. It quickly won the heart of Armin van Buuren and was signed to his label, Armada. Soon after, Elsa’s second single 'No Need to Come Back' with Leon Bolier would also be signed to Armada. This landed her on Armin’s compilation, A State of Trance 2006 giving her recognition from all over the world. With two releases in 2006 and new projects on the way, be sure to catch Elsa as she starts her conquest in 2007 to play in America and the world.
