DJ Kingsize

DJ KINGSIZE is the driving force behind Kingsize Entertainment (https://www.facebook.com/KingsizeEntertainmentNow?fref=ts) , hosting the likes of Cosmic Gate, Gareth Emery, W&W, Sarah Howells, Emma hewitt and recently signing the rights to the annual EDM Fest Cape Town, He also makes up one half of the production duo called The Josh Kingsize Project, with 6 succesful remixes under their belt.

In 1986 at the tender age of 12, after getting his first Technics SL 1210 turntable, an amplifier and a home made speaker, handed down from his father, DJ Kingsize had his first brush with vinyl, collecting his first album, called The House Album, a collection of new sounds coming out of Chicago, called HOUSE MUSIC!! Fresh sounds from artists like Stevie V (Dirty Cash), Steve Silk Hurley (Jack Your Body) & Adeva (Respect) all contributed to a new sound that would hook him for 26 years.

Starting out in 1998 throwing private club events in London and some legendary 3 day house parties for 150 people at a time, kingsize eventually got his break when he secured work with legendary U.K. VIP club promoter, Mr Nick House from London Parties & Nick House Entertainment, playing 5 weekly residencies at some of Londons premier hotspots from Kensington Roof Gardens to Funky Buddah & Mahikis in Londons central Mayfair district. From there he linked up with Mr Damian Gelle of Heat:UK Events. eventually propelling Dj Kingsize on to DJ for close on 14 years now with a dj career that has stretched from Cape Town to Johannesburg, Berlin, Dresden, London, Ibiza, India, Tanzania and Asia
