‘Dicky Trisco is a mainstay of the current disco movement in the UK.’
Greg Wilson (Electrofunkroots/Credit to the Edit)
Dicky Trisco has been lost in music for some time now. Running labels, doing edits, making tracks, producing remixes and DJing at parties all over the globe from London to Istanbul to Sydney. He is seriously addicted to the way music connects people and makes for better days.
Starting out as a leading player in the UK nu-disco and house scenes, DT has been at the heart of the disco resurgence through his output for the highly respected Disco Deviance imprint. He is also one half of electrofunk and leftfield disco outfit, Boogie Corporation, and has become an in-demand remixer having recently completed reworks for Bryan Ferry, LCMDF, Edwyn Collins and Franz Ferdinand amongst others.
DT packs a little bit of everything into his DJ sets. So expect to hear disco, electrofunk, funk, pop, house and anything else he thinks will work the dance floor. An ever present in his sets are his own ‘DJ edits’ many of which are unreleased and exclusive. And it is this hot and interesting blend of old and new music, originals and reworks that makes his DJ sets unique.
These days DT spends a lot of time DJing with the very excellent iamelectron at their highly successful Autodisco nights in the UK. He is also a regular on the UK festival circuit where he has played regularly for the Rizla Invisible Players alongside Greg Wilson, Maurice Fulton, Justin Robertson, Graeme Park, Jazzy B, Andrew Weatherall, and Optimo amongst others, as well as becoming an ever present at Glastonbury with annual appearances in the Stonebridge Tent.
