D-Funk

D-Funk is a DJ / Producer / Remixer / Label owner based in Sydney, Australia. He owns & run Upstart Music an upbeat Breaks led label & co-owns & co-runs Grits N Gravy which specializes in forward things funk based music. As a DJ he plays a wide range of styles depending on the venue he's playing.

Doug was nominated for 'Best Breakthrough DJ' at the 2009 International Break Beat awards (Breakspoll) & his label Upstart Music was nominated for 'Best New Label' at Breakpoll 2010.

He has releases music, both original & remixes, on many labels including Westway Records, Sunday Best Records, Mamnmade Records, Mutate Records, Dandy Kid Records, Dusted Breaks, Booty Pirates as well as extensive releases on both his own labels Upstart Music & Grits N Gravy.
