The sound and rhythm-addict is following his inner visions and his deep passion for music since he can remember. Wether it was to imitate the Break-Dance- and oldschool Hip-Hop-DJs from the mid-eighties as a child or to follow the rock-idols of his youth by playing until the fingers bleeded since he got his first guitar at the age of 13. After a period of punk and hard guitar stuff he more and more fell in love with electronic music, because he finally realized which aspect of music meant the most to him: Energy and emotional density. And there was no music-style in the nintees who transported this paramter better than TECHNO. Fascinated by its energy from the very beginning he knew this relationship would last.
After the first Codec & Flexor-Releases, "Crazy Girls" and "Time has changed" which were produced by Codec, things came into moving. The follow up Long-Player "Tubed" marked the breakthrough for Codec and his partner. They toured all around the world - incl. the United States - and got licensed countless times and played with the major league in techno-circus.
In the following time Codec produced several remixes for: Zombie Nation, Northern Lite, Phillip Boa and Christian Morgenstern and toured no-stop.The even more successful second LP "Killermachine" was released in the beginning of 2006 on Kitty-Yo. An excecive tour followed up till the end 2007.
Simultaniously Codec worked on the launch of his own imprint: BODY FUNCTION. The first release was a production for Codec & Flexor, which was highly acclaimed and supported by people like Gregor Tresher, Nudisco, John Selway, President Bongo, ... In the begining of 2008 a Solo-Maxi called "Subkutan" will follow which will be a redefintion of the main aspects of his musical work: Energy and emotional density.
In the spring time there will come out an Remix for Ascii Disco, a 12inch-Release with Remixes and another Single called "New-York-Trilogy".
And of course he is constantly building up his label, making it what it iwas intentionaly made for: To build up a community of people, sharing the same passion willing to go beyond the personal maximum, because of the fact that there is no alternative to music.
