Christian Martin's love affair with Electronic music goes back to the mid-nineties when he was fortunate enough to have been a reveller at Southern California's now legendary Moontribe full moon dessert parties. After absorbing the clubbing circuit in New York, London, and Los Angeles, he found a home in San Francisco. It was there that he started to play records himself, under the tutelage of his brother & partner in crime - Justin Martin...with a stack of old vinyl & used Technics 1200's.
Just 1 year later, inspired by the massive desert sound systems of old, Christian founded the dirtybird soundsystem. Along with co-founders Justin Martin, Worthy, and Claude VonStroke, dirtybird’s Sunday afternoon BBQ’s have quickly become a Golden Gate Park institution. Sunshine, dogs, kids, frisbees, yummy food - and always an exorbitant amount of dancing. This mentality transcends into the production work by Christian Martin, as well as his work with his bro' in their duo, Martin Brothers. Releases on labels like Sound Pellegrino, Trapez, Anabatic and of course an army of great tracks compiled for the dirtybird imprint, which he calls home.
As Christian travels the globe, and focuses on his productions, his sound grows with him...And he continues to shape the future of Dirtybird's unique sound.
