Berlin born and bred DJ and producer Ben Klock has become one of the most driving and influential artists in techno in recent times. His contributions to and passion for the scene has defined the Berlin techno sound of recent times, coupled by his Berghain residency, where he regularly plays his signature and legendary marathon sets.
Klock has been a local resident at Berghain since its opening in 2004, and has become synonymous with the iconic club. His dark, deep yet forward style of techno has become associated with the club and the strong Berlin techno culture and scene. As well as being one the world’s best DJs, regularly featuring in the Resident Advisor Top 10, Ben Klock is an accomplished and respected producer, having released music on Ostgut Ton as well as his own renowned label Klockworks, which he established in 2006.
He has remixed for countless major artists including Kerri Chandler, Martyn and Depeche Mode. Ben Klock release his acclaimed debut album ‘One’ on Ostgut Ton in 2009, which was awarded a 4.5 out of 5 rating by Resident Advisor. In 2012 he was ranked number 5 in Resident Advisor’s Top 100 DJ Poll, up 5 places from 2011. Ben Klock continues to manage and execute his label Klockworks, enjoy solid studio time and play at the world’s biggest festivals and clubs, bearing the Berlin techno flag proudly and carrying it into the future of the genre.
