Baby Gee  

In the ever changing world of dance music and the way it recreates and represents itself, is an Australian DJ/Producer that consistently and effortlessly sits at the top of the stack, the front of the pack - the cream of the crop. Commended in both the underground and above as a pioneer DJ, Baby Gee was thrown into the spotlight when he hit the top 5 in the Australian DJ Poll. To this day he still holds the 4 spot in the Poll, a true representation of a favourite DJ of Australian clubbers, dance enthusiasts and festival fans across the nation.

The nightlife, the bright lights and crazy antics of club land has been calling Gee as long as he can remember. Determined to make his way into the spotlight, at age 16 he became a dancer at some of the hottest clubs to gain premature entry to the world of dance music. With his sights and sound set on the DJ console, it wasn't long before a set of Technics turntables were purchased with his hard earned cash. A couple of years down the track and Baby Gee would hold residency at Australia's 1 nightclub Family, embark on the pioneering success of house music at the Monastery alongside Matt Kitchen and become the first Queenslander to break into the top 5 of the Australian DJ Poll.   

Diverse would be an enormous understatement in describing the wide array of styles displayed in a Baby Gee DJ set. Honing his skills behind the decks and owning the sound of just about every genre combined, he delivers the ultimate recipe for a unique sequence of dance floor flavours concocted into the execution of a true master at work. So much so that his diversity leads to a position ordering records for Central Station – his first and last – almost real job…  

Baby Gee still holds his legendary residency alongside fellow DJ and long time friend, tyDi at the famous Family Nightclub in his home town of Brisbane. Only one who has experienced the pure energy of a Friday at Family can understand what a massive cult following has been created by simply playing what lies dear to him the most every weekend. Although once renowned for his trance flavours, these days Gee is caught across the country flaunting his tech-infused house, progressive and big room sound. Often playing shows for MOS, Central Station and Global Gathering Baby Gee can also be caught in the trance spectrum at Sensation, Trance Energy and other popular touring parties. Supporting the likes of Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Sander Van Doorn, Carl Cox and many more – he is the first call for many promoters, bringing in the big guns on the big stage.

On the production front, a series of forthcoming and long awaited releases support his huge success as a multi-genre DJ. Each production remains difficult to pigeon hole and appeals to a wide variety of dance floors and DJ's.  To demonstrate the point – 2am and all hands in the air at Sublime, Home nightclub on a Friday night – the same track tearing the roof off a house club on a Saturday!  His take home work can be found through numerous compilation releases, podcasts and radio shows that all play testimony to the quality of work portrayed in the sound that is Baby Gee.
