Caprices Festival is fast approaching, and is one of the best winter events of them all.

With a tasteful underground line up, a world renowned MDRNTY stage that is like a greenhouse up a mountain with stunning views, and a vast ski resort to explore, it is non stop fun.

The local food is delicious, the acres ski is richly varied and cultural and a new stage that aims to bring the outdoors inside all makes this year’s event from April 11th to 14th in Crans-Montana in Switzerland man essential one.

Here are the five best acts to catch next to more like Acid Pauli, Apollonia, Jamie Jones, Len Faki, DVS1, Marcel Dettmann, Pan Pot, Raresh, Black Coffee, Ricardo Villalobos and Seth Troxler.

Dana Ruh

She doesn’t get the headlines of many of her peers, but Dana Ruh is a class act. Her smoky take on deep house and atmospheric techno really warms up crowds and then locks them deep in a groove. She is a go to booking for Sven Vath at his Cocoon events in Ibiza so can scale her sound up when needed.

Peggy Gou

She’s had an unbelievable year that has seen her play just about more gigs than there have been days. The Ninja Tune artist also released a couple of big, characterful tunes and grew her fan base to huge proportions. In the booth she drops disco, acid, house and techno with a sense of fun and playfulness that always gets big reactions.

Sven Vath

A regular at this festival, Sven is known for his famous closing sets on the final day. Bringing the curveballs, serving up plenty of colourful techno and fun classics, he knows how to stoke a crowd of any size and keep the heads, hardcores and happy go lucky types all equally happy.

Bedouin

his act have become synonymous with a so called desert house sound. Its’ deep, melancholic, melodic, shamanistic and emotionally stirring. It’s not for the peak of the night, but more for the dead of the night, when subtle grooves and deft synths are the order of the evening. Few do it better.

Mathew Jonson

He is widely heralded as one of the best live acts in techno, and for good reason. His schooling in jazz, actual musical ability and knowledge of techno always adds up to spellbinding sessions that veer from pumping to euphoric, with his exquisite synth work and driving drums all getting the crowd in a spin as well as progressing with real narrative. Essential.
