The annual dance music bonanza that is Amsterdam Dance Event is just around the corner, running from 17 Oct 2018 – 21 Oct 2018 across multiple venues in the Dutch city.

As well as plenty of business, panels, seminars and much more, there are a wealth of incredible parties to check out across the week. Here, we round up a few of the best of them. 

Sound-Fleet Boat Parties

Wednesday 17 – Sunday 21 October, Amsterdam 
Running each day for five days, Sound-Fleet will float you around the waters of Amsterdam so you can experience the city, cruising by its mystical skyline, with Sasha’s Last Night On Earth, Guy J’s Lost & Found and Goldfish imprint Submerged. 

The Hidden People x FMLY ADE Special

Thursday 18 October, Hotel Arena 
The Hidden People will debut at ADE with a pop-up mini festival in a historic chapel in the centre of Amsterdam. The intimate venue will play host to just 800 devoted party goers for for 12 hours of world class dance music. Headliners include Alex Niggemann, Baltra live, Breach, Butch, Detroit Swindle, DJ Boring, Object Blue (live), Space Dimension Controller (live) and a very special guest, from Comatonse Recordings.

Verknipt ADE Series

Thursday 18 - Saturday 20 October, Amsterdam Studios 
Verknipt are set to serve up not one, not two, but three essential parties at this year’s ADE. Each party features three arenas and killer lineups with a capacity for more than 2,500 people. That includes two techno special featuring Ben Sims, Truncate, Ansome, Gary Beck, Cari Lekebusch, The Advent, Luke Slater, Sterac and more. Their third and final day is the most exciting, though, wiyh acts like deep groove shaman Claptone, Moon Harbour boss Matthias Tanzmann, Sola label heads Solardo, Solid Grooves founder Michael Bibi and associates like PAWSA, plus Suara's Spanish hitmaker Denis Cruz, a live set from Guti and house session from Defected’s Franky Rizardo.

Thursday 18 - Saturday 20 October, BRET/Warehouse Elementenstraat 
VBX returns to ADE with four special events this year. Things kick off on Thursday 18th at BRET with the trendsetting tINI & The Gang headed up by the boss with Molly, Moscow-born-Dutch resident Makcim and Pelle & Roon. Then on the 19th at Warehouse Elementenstraat, Ricardo Villalobos, Seth Troxler, Zip, Sonja Moonear, Steve Rachmad, Nicolas Lutz and Spokenn (Ferro & Reiss) will play. On the morning of Saturday, October 20th, the annual ADE after-hours at BRET welcomes Dyed Soundorom, Voigtmann, Max Yaahs, and more, while that evening, Shelter hosts Romanian minimal pioneers Praslesh (Raresh & Praslea) with Francesco Del Garda, Japan’s sophisticated Fumiya Tanaka and more.

Free Your Mind

Thursday 18 October, Thuishaven 
Free Your Mind Festival brings together three vital prog-focused labels: Hernan Cattaneo’s label Sudbeat, Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden imprint, and Audiofly’s Flying Circus. Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren play an all day long B2B set, while Blond:ish, Unders and more all join in at one of Amsterdam’s most renowned indoor-outdoor festival locations.

HYTE

Friday 19 October, Medihaven 
HYTE always comes correct during ADE, and this year the brand is putting everything into one big party in association with Loveland. Three stages will welcome heavyweights like Loco Dice, Chris Liebing, Guti live, wAFF, Andrea Oliva, Adam Shelton B2B Subb-an, Benny Rodrigues, Samuel Deep and Mandana. More names are to come but already this looks to be can't-miss.

Dockyard x Mystic Garden

Saturday 20 October, Havenpark 
Two contrasting concepts, one terrain, one entrance: this will be a collision of The Mystic Garden’s glittering fairyland and Dockyard’s brazen, industrial world to make for something new and immersive. The lineup is huge too, as Sven Väth, Len Faki, Paco Osuna, Apollonia, Ben Sims, BLAWAN, Robert Hood, Dax J, Secret Cinema, Egbert (live), Matador (live), Luigi Madonna, Skream, Enrico Sangiuliano, Dave Clarke and The Advent and Industrialyzer all play.

Cuttin’ Headz x FUSE London ADE

Sunday 21 October, Warehouse Elementenstraat 
Cuttin’ Headz has announced a stellar line up including a five-hour set from hosts The Martinez Brothers. And across two other rooms of the vast warehouse, sets come from tiNI, Guti live, William Djoko, Marco Carola, Enzo Siragusa, Archie Hamilton, Rossko, Seb Zito and Rich NxT. This one runs until 8AM so is great place to end your ADE 2018 activities.
