With the first major weekend of the season just around the corner, Natural Selektion pulls out all the stops for its first-ever event.
Taking place at the picturesque Bersig Trout Farm, the event is one of the first outdoor parties of the season. And with a jam-packed lineup and top-class production, it’s promising to be a major milestone for the new brand and an exhilarating experience for punters.
With so many high-points to the event, we’ve compiled a list of five reasons not to miss Natural Selektion this weekend.
Bersig Trout Farm, just 25 minutes from Fourways, is an idyllic venue surrounded by lush greenery in the Cradle of Humankind. The riverfront location next to the Swartkop Mountain is the perfect setting for the inaugural Natural Selektion event, and will on doubt steal the show as the sun sets on the revellers.
Natural Selektion hosts two unique stages catering to house/techno and bass music respectively. With world-class production, 3D visual mapping, hyper sensory decor and art installations each stage will be primed to blow the crowd away in more ways than one. In addition, the ELE Sekret Stage with have a few tricks up its sleeve, bringing an added dimension to the party.
The high calibre lineup on both stages will keep the bodies moving throughout the night. While the house and techno Evolution Stage will host Abby Nurock, Metro Ticket, Buhle and headliner Ryan Murgatroyd, the Survival Stage brings together a host of drum and bass, trap, hip hop and future bass artists for back to back sets all day long, featuring DJs like Donny Basco, Spherix,Glitch, Real Feels and Format
Hyper Sensory Decor
Creating the ideal party atmosphere, the decor at Natural Selektion will be tailored for each stage with lights and glow-in-the-dark elements to entice and excite your senses. But as we can’t give everything away, you’ll just have to see it for yourself.
Few promoters are willing to help in fighting causes beyond the music industry, but for the first episode of Natural Selektion, the ELE (Everybody Love Everybody) charity are coming on board to bring some awareness to their cause. From every ticket sold, five rand will be given to the charity in order to help put under privileged children through school. It may seem like a drop in the ocean, but when it comes to helping out those in need, every bit counts.
