Dutch-born, Washington D.C.-based producer and Panorama Bar resident Martyn recently released his fourth studio album, Voids, on the Ostgut Ton label in June.

The album, which is officially Martyn’s first album release under Berghain’s imprint, has been widely praised for its organic nature. Unlike previous releases, Voids was produced solely by Martyn with no guest features or collaborations. It is roughly split between two of his musical foundations, post-dubstep and UK garage.

Voids is a significant release for Martyn, inspired by an intense period of personal transformation for him, following a nearly fatal heart attack he experienced last year. The incident compelled him to reassess what drove him to make music in the first place.

Martyn’s attempt to work through personal trauma also includes reflecting on the loss of close friend and fellow producer Marcus Intalex, aka Trevino, to whom the track “Manchester” is dedicated. Now, he is in the midst of a worldwide album tour, with a few select dates upcoming across some of Asia’s best clubs.

Starting at Savage in Hanoi on July 27th, Martyn will then play at Circus in Osaka on the 28th, Faust in Seoul on August 3rd, and Circus in Tokyo on the 4th. You can listen to Voids below.
