Southeast Asia’s favourite multi-genre summer festival, We The Fest is set to return for another three-day celebration of music from July 20th to the 22nd at the Jiexpo Kemayoran in Jakarta. The organiser have already dropped the first phase lineup for this year’s edition and now, they have unveiled the second phase that includes a strong list of local and international acts.

New to the billing is Australian indie-pop phenomenon Nick Murphy who was popularly known for his Chet Faker pseudonym, trap heavy-weight What So Not, future bass aficionado Medasin, R&B trailblazers and Drake protégés, Majid Jordan, British-born multi-instrumentalist and producer, SG Lewis and American singer-songwriter and The Strokes’ lead guitarist, Albert Hammond Jr.

Local talent completes the second billing, with the likes of Barasuara, Efek Rumah Kaca, Padi Reborn, and White Shoes & The Couple’s Company representing the very best in Indonesian rock, indie, and pop.

Originally a two-day affair, the brand successfully turned it into a three-day extravaganza in 2017 giving punters more value for money. Last year’s edition featured an impressive lineup that included the likes of Big Sean, Phoenix, and The Kooks last year.

Last year’s edition was a huge success that even Indonesia’s president, Joko Widodo also fondly known as Jokowi made an impromptu visit on day one of the festival last year while sporting a We The Fest t-shirt.
