Back in 1988, Sven Väth, Michael Münzing and Matthias Martinsohn turned the former club Vogue into Omen. And over the next decade, the Frankfurt club became a world-renowned hub for the best techno DJs on Earth.
The club was like a second home to faithful fans, who partied weekly to the likes of Carl Cox, Chris Liebing, Jeff Mills and, of course, Sven Väth well into the next afternoon.
Unlike today, when recording a DJ set is as easy as plugging in your smartphone, sets from the '90s were rarely recorded—even when a pair as large as these two took to the stage. Which makes this nearly five hour mix from Detroit techno godfather Jeff Mills and Cocoon mastermind Sven Väth all the more special.
Starting off nice and groovy with vocal-laced house tunes like Blaze's "Lovelee Dae," Mills and Väth beautifully build the energy towards the one hour mark. Enjoy.
