After just under a month of soft openings, Tau officially opens its doors this weekend with a host of local and international DJs.
The newly opened venue—situated next to the famous Crew bar—boasts chic, sophisticated decor, and dimly lit candles giving its various rooms a welcoming glow. In what seems like a labyrinth, the layout interconnects the main dance floor and bar with two alternate bar areas and an outdoor smoking section, providing intimate chill areas for punters to relax in.
With a massive LED screen on one side, and South Africa’s first kinetic light system install overhead, the dance floor maintains Tau’s intimacy, with sliding doors allowing for even bigger parties.
It’s also got Cape Town’s second indoor Funktion-One system, making it easy to see why excitement is at an all time high around the city for the opening.
Friday, February 9th kicks off with a media opening from 8PM, with Richard Marshall and the indelible Valve State welcoming Tau’s guests. Terrasoul, JNN KPN & Colorblind and Killer Robot then kick the party off to the public from 11PM.
On Saturday, German producer Dirty Doering takes charge of the decks, with support from Toy Toy’s Kyle Russouw and James Kameran from Ibiza.
Pulse will be streaming the “Invite Only” segment on Friday night. Visit the event page for more information.
