Epizode Festival's much anticipated second edition that's set to take place from December 31st to January 10th at the idyllic island of Phu Quoc, Vietnam, is just around the corner. Organised by the same people behind Kazantip, the festival is already shaping up to be one of Southeast Asia's biggest underground music festivals to date.

The massive lineup that features some of the best international and regional acts on its bill is undoubtedly one of the main reasons why it has been predicted to be an event of epic proportions. Here are some of our top picks to catch at this year's monster event.

Peggy Gou

Peggy Gou has had a breakthrough year. After some promising early releases on labels like Rekids in 2016, the last 12 months have seen her ascend to headliner status at some of the world’s best events. Her technical ability in the DJ booth is matched by brave selections that can go from classic house to pounding techno in an instant.

Binh

A firm favourite at Berlin's Club Der Visionaere, Binh has become a cult favourite since breaking out of the local Berlin scene. His spaced out electro and techno is slick, futuristic and high tempo and is part of a collection of Das known for spending endless hours unearthing forgotten old gems or missed classics.

Call Super

The DJing dexterity of Call Super is second to none. He can stitch together techno, bass, IDM, electronica and jungle into sound collages that twist and turn, offering surprises at every junction. Energetic but cerebral, his sound is unique and has made him one of the biggest new school DJs of recent years.

Marcel Dettmann

You should never pass up an opportunity to see the big man in action. Even when not at home at Berghain, Dettman’s pummelling techno loops, solid four to the floor style and heavyweight concrete funk will always sweep you up and carry you deep into the night.

Nicolas Lutz

A DJ known for playing records no one else does, his fluid grooves dip into minimal, techno and electro and make him a perfect musical sparring partner for the likes of Craig Richards, who he will be playing back to back with at fabric in the new year. That should tell you all you need to know about this connoisseur collector and story telling DJ.
