Few have had a better 2017 than vernacular rapper Sho Madjozi, who puts together an inspired performance with every opportunity she gets. Dressed in her traditional getup she left fans in a heightened atmosphere, clapping and whistling while displaying her Tsonga dance moves. She’s most certainly breaking the barriers of what woman in South Africa can achieve.

Shane Eagle

Since his stint in television the independent rapper and label owner of Eagle Entertainment has always been ahead of the pack, recently releasing his debut album Yellow. The true essence of his prowess and journey comes to life in his live performances, where he uses his raps to connect with his fans in as many ways as possible. he composed a masterpiece and knows very well how to capture his emotions in his music. His track “Let It Flow” is a perfect example of how he is able to deliver a message.

The Western Cape native continues to prove his ability. A common misconception is that people won’t love your music because you have a foreign accent, but YoungstaCPT continues to defy the doubters. With a trademark freestyle and performing a few of his hits, he gave hip hop enthusiasts all the elements they needed to keep their head-bopping in check, which set the tone for an impeccable live performance.

Nasty C

This honcho is currently SA’s youngest super rapper and has been making waves for local hip hop enthusiasts to surf for a couple of years already. He didn't need much time to get an immense reaction from the festival crowd and deliver an epic performance. Nasty C is at his peak ahead of the summer and has followed-up well from his album Bad Hair Extensions, which is evident in the love he received off-the-back of his Ivyson tour.
