You’ve just landed in Berlin for your big clubbing weekend. You’re still hungover from last night’s pre-flight party, and need to get something in your stomach right the hell now. But it needs to be cheap, fast, easy, out-of-this-world delicious—and not a kebab.

Can it be done?

You know it. Because luckily you’re not only in the techno capital, but a burger lover’s paradise, as Berliners have fully embraced gourmet burger culture.

So we’ve hunted down five spots that are guaranteed to fill you up and leave a smile on your face without breaking the bank, so you can spend all your silly money on what’s really important.

Tante Burger — Friedrichshain

Cost: €7-10

It's a Biggie Smalls themed craft burger joint with food so good it might just change your life. Go there. Seriously.

We recommend: The Pulled Pork Biggie, with pulled pork, coleslaw, gherkins, celery, and sweet mustard.

For the vegetarian: Baked Taleggio with green cabbage, pumpkin and truffle.

The Bird — Prenzlauer Berg

Cost: €10-15

The Bird is American dining at its best: a New York-style steakhouse complete with buy-one-get-one-free “Angry Hour” (happy hour) deals and super-spicey chicken wing baskets. But their burgers are to die for, made from such high quality beef, other restaurants would normally serve it as a steak. They grind it up and stick it on a bun. There's also one in Kreuzberg

We recommend: The Drunk Ghetto burger, which comes with fried onions and a shot—the perfect hangover cure.

For the vegetarian: The Portobello, with a portobello mushroom marinated in balsamic, olive
oil, garlic, your choice of cheese and dip.
