Kuala Lumpur’s vibrant F&B and entertainment spot, TREC, continues its ongoing development with the addition of two prominent Asian brands. The developers have recently announced the coming of The Iron Fairies and YG Republique in the third quarter of 2017.

KL-lites and avid foodies will soon get a taste of authentic Korean cuisine and dining culture with the impending arrival of YG Republique, an F&B brand owned by YG Entertainment. The Korean company owns record labels, a music production company, event management/concert production company, music publishing house and a talent agency that manages the biggest K-Pop stars such as Big Bang and PSY. Their outlet at TREC will feature three F&B brands – K Pub, K Ramen and Samgeori Butchers.

The Iron Fairies on the other hand is created by one of Bangkok’s most successful and in-demand designer, Ashley Sutton. The Aussie is often inspired by unique settings like metal foundries, children’s orphanages and Chinese brothels, which adds a touch of quirkiness to his venues.

Cher Ng, Co-Founder and Managing Director of TREC, says: “Terraces and Hive will see more foreign investments this year, such as from Singapore and Hong Kong. They will further strengthen TREC's offering and status as the preferred lifestyle, entertainment and F&B choice not just for locals, but for tourists as well, bringing more foreign visitors to the capital city.”

Phase two of TREC - which comprises Hive, Terraces and Alcove blocks - will complement Malaysia's homegrown brands in Electric Boulevard.
