Following the sudden closure of Koh nightclub, cosmic techno providers Interstellar were forced to switch venues just days before this weekend's party with Neel from Italy’s Voices From The Lake.

Interstellar will now be hosting its night at Virgin Beach, Karangasem, for a whooping 12-hour party under the stars, lasting from sunset to sunrise. Though the cover charge will be slightly higher.

The organiser's statement reads:

“Due to Koh's sudden closure, we had less than 48 hours notice to salvage the party and phew~ we are happy to announce the new date and location - 18 March 2017, Saturday at one of our favourite sunrise spots, Virgin Beach in Karangasem.

The party will run for 12 hours nonstop from sunset to sunrise with Neel playing both the opening and closing sets.

We also had to slightly increase the cover charge due to this last minute change as we are suddenly faced with much more event costs. We apologize for any inconveniences caused.

So a little change in party gear, bring what you need and enough cash (the nearest ATM is in Candidasa)

This is a BYO event and there will also be an alcohol & juice bar (fresh coconuts!), grilled seafood, local warung food, island breakfast menu like banana pancakes & fruit salads.”

While the news of the closure of one of Bali's most-loved nightclubs is certainly sad (and we'll bring you more as the story develops), the move will provide a rare opportunity for fans to dance under the stars to one of Europe's best cosmic techno acts.

Made up of Donato Dozzy and Neel, Voices From The Lake are Italian techno outfit that’s been delivering influential sounds for the relatively underrated genre since 2010. Having released tracks on Bunker NY and Spectrum Spools to holding down a residency at iconic Panorama Bar, they have left their mark on the ambient techno scene. When playing live, Neel incorporates vintage modular synths into his sets, which are out of this world.

Catch him for the first time in South East Asia, as he ends his tour of Asia and Australia in Bali.

Tickets for the event are still available on Ticketbase.
